Spectrum 2008 was another terrific success as Access Institute's community came together to support mental health services for those in need. The Spectrum event continues to provide our largest single source of funding.

Access Institute thanks the talented artists who have generously supported Access Institute over the past 6 years. The 2008 art auction featured 75 of the best emerging artists from the Bay Area and the West Coast along with students, graduates and faculty of the California College of the Arts.

We thank our two artist honorees, James Scott Geras and Daniel Tousignant, for their generous support, belief in our mission and encouraging artists to donate and join our community.

Thanks to everyone who helped make Spectrum #5 our biggest event ever.
With your generous support we raised over $135,000 for Access Institute.

Many thanks to our ongoing supporters, especially Dr. Ingrid Tauber and those donors who gave in her honor. Dr. Tauber was was honored at this year's event for her support of student scholarships and Access Institute's intern therapists.

At this year’s event, Access Institute honored Alvin H. Baum, Jr., LCSW for his dedication to the mental health services profession and the arts community. A special thank you goes to our dear friend Al for his ongoing support.

On October 16, 2005 Access Institute hosted Spectrum, our third annual fundraising art auction and cocktail party, held at Mezzanine in San Francisco. Guests bid on over 50 works of art from the best locally and internationally recognized artists, through silent and live auctions. Mezzanine, the dynamic art-space and nightclub, provided a sensational atmosphere for our event that included art performances, gourmet food and first-class wine and spirits.

This year’s Spectrum was a lush, exotic evening for those drawn to amazing art and a worthy cause. Through ticket sales, sponsorships and art sales, supporters raised over $70,000 for Access Institute, enabling scores of families to access needed mental health services.

On October 17, Access hosted its second annual art auction, Spectrum. Guests mingled with the community of artists, donors and friends who collectively built Access Institute.  This year's theme for Spectrum was "Art Attack," a call to our community to both celebrate art and fight for mental health services.  At Mezzanine, art patrons enjoyed a fantastic collection, including work donated from Gallery Paule Anglim, Catharine Clark Gallery, Geras-Tousignant Gallery, private collectors and generous local artists.  "Art Attack" featured both a silent and live auction of more than 50 works of art.

Our Open House gala honored those who have contributed to the formation of Access Institute, in particular our founding donors, who were recognized on a donor wall at the new clinic.
