USE THIS WEBSITE!
Preview the art and learn about the artists.
The auction is fast, you need to make decisions on the spot, and if you come armed with information and smoldering desires you will be most likely to place the winning bids.
DON’T BE LATE!
Arrive before the room gets crowded so you can bond with the work you’re going to take home.
MEET THE ARTISTS AND ASK QUESTIONS!
The curator and a lot of the artists and gallery representatives will be at the event. We’d love to tell you more about the work.
LISTEN UP!
We will be announcing closing times, and live auction news from the stage. Things might change, so stay on your toes!
HAVE FUN!
Remember, every penny that you spend on art is going to support Access Institute. This is a winning proposition all the way around: you’re going to go home with something valuable and beautiful, and your money will be used to serve our community.
AND AFTER….
Support the artists who support us. Their generosity is outstanding. If you’ve seen work that you like, use this website to join that artist’s mailing list, visit their studio, or pursue their work.

THE BIDDING PROCESS:
|
When you arrive at Spectrum, you will register, and be given a BIDDER NUMBER.
The auction is divided into three sections: Silent A, Live, and Silent B.
For the SILENT AUCTIONS:
Each piece of art and its bid sheet is labeled with the retail value of the piece, the minimum bid, and the bid increment.
The BID SHEETS are on tables near the art.
The RETAIL VALUE is the price that the piece would sell at a gallery or from the artist.
The MINIMUM BID has been set by the artist or donor. If you walk out of the auction with anything that you bought at its minimum bid, you scored a great deal for a great work of art.
The INCREMENT is the minimum difference between bids for that piece. This is designed to make bidding more efficient and fair.
The CLOSING TIMES for the silent auctions are listed in the program, but they MAY CHANGE. We’re here to raise money for Access Institute, so if the bidding is hot and heavy as we approach closing time, we may just let it go a little longer….
If there is a showdown at closing time, with two or more bidders fighting for pens, we reserve the right to let our auctioneer step in and resolve it with some live auctioneering.
For the LIVE AUCTION:
The Live Auction Pieces are clearly labeled, and they are fantastic.
Our auctioneer will guide you through that process.

YOUR MONEY AND YOUR ART
|
After the silent auction closes, one copy of the bid sheet will be left on the table. Take that to the CASHIER any time after 8:00 and make your payment. You may wait until all of the auctions are closed, and pay for everything at once.
Please do not take your art off the wall. We have folks who will get it for you.
Sales tax will be added to your purchase price.
We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks.
If you buy with a credit card, the charge will show as AUDREY HELLER PHOTOGRAPHS. This is just to expedite processing- your full purchase price will go to Access Institute.
