Our Mission
Access Institute provides high-quality psychological care to people of all ages with the greatest need and least access to care while training the next generation of mental health professionals through a model that values human complexity, supports socially-conscious practice, and promotes sustained human growth.
Our Services
We offer low and no-fee psychological services to those who want and need psychological support, but aren’t able to access it for any number of reasons including: income, cultural barriers, stigma around mental health, and lack of mobility.
We offer services to individuals, couples, children and families on a sliding scale basis. We provide services for as long as you need them.
Psychological AssessmentOur psychological assessment batteries are individually designed, based on client need, and utilize the most advanced tests in order to uncover all possible sources of a problem.

We offer medication evaluations and follow-up care to adults age 18 and up.

Our Community Programs
In-School Mental Health ProgramWe work with children, families, and teachers in seven public elementary schools in San Francisco.

Elder ProgramWe work with elders at Bayview Hunter's Point Adult Day Health Center, meeting people where they are.

Our Training Program
Access Institute’s nationally-recognized training programs prepares the next generation of mental health professionals for careers in community mental health. We build a supportive community of peers and professionals to strengthen each individual's growth and education. Our Psychology Interns, Post-Graduate Fellows, and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are taught by contemporary thinkers who have evolved psychoanalytic practice in meaningful ways.
