At Access Institute, our preventative models of care are working. We have developed innovative treatment services for low-income children, families, adults, and seniors because we understand that prevention pays huge dividends. We are ready to expand our programs with your help! Hayes Valley Clinic
At our Hayes Valley Clinic, our preventative model of care allows people to access the mental health support they need. We do not require a diagnosis before providing treatment. And we don’t limit the number of sessions, because we recognize that treating a mental health condition takes time. The care we provide fosters the psychological stability people need to overcome crises, avoid hospitalizations, recover, and thrive. In-School Mental Health Program Our early intervention model addresses the trauma that interferes with how children function in school, develop relationships, and make decisions. Untreated mental health needs can lead to serious behavior problems, including school failure, substance abuse, and inability to maintain employment. Our services help prevent these adverse experiences, and help ensure that our children grow up to have healthy, hopeful futures. Elder Program Our preventative approach to care is improving the lives of low-income seniors at the Bayview Adult Day Health Center and Openhouse. Our Elder Program supports the mental health and well-being of seniors and prolongs their ability to live independently. Our intensive work with seniors has decreased hospital visits and resulted in fewer nursing home placements, helping these seniors age with dignity. Join us in our efforts to expand our programs by helping us raise $100,000 by June 30, 2018. Your donation will help us fulfill the needs of the vulnerable populations we serve. Thank you for your support! In-School Mental Health Program Our In-School Mental Health Program provides free on-site therapy for children with the most acute needs at six public elementary schools. Childhood trauma interferes with how children function in school, develop relationships, and make decisions. Further along, untreated mental health needs can lead to serious behavior problems, including school failure, substance abuse, and inability to maintain employment. Our early intervention model helps prevent these adverse experiences, and helps ensure that our children grow up to have healthy, hopeful futures.
